The first section is all about what to include, and exclude, from your resume. You don't need to go in to  detail about what you did at your last position, especially if you are a nurse applying for another nursing position. They know what you did as a nurse...what they need to know is why you stand out over the other person that applied for the position. 

Formatting your resume includes things like keeping the font simple, the color black and white, the length at 2 pages (maximum), and organizing information with bullet points. 

Checklists help you make sure you are getting the details in that you want to get in while keeping the formatting neat and easy to read. 

Nurse Your Resume includes a resume template, a follow-up thank you template, and a cover letter template. While cover letters are rarely asked for these days, they are still sometimes requested.
